It's hot hot hot. I'm a great lover of the sun lounger, but there's only so much I can take. Life is all about balance, and you can't take a warming bath on a hot day. That's why I've taken a vacay-from-vacay and travelled to a little dwarf planet at the very edge of the solar system. It's cold here, icy winds whip my whiskers in all directions, and the far-away star is barely enough to light the ground, let alone give any heat. Perfect! Hot baths are finally appropriate again! Of-course I can't be getting too hot, so I've been counter balancing the hot baths with cool seltzers.

Perfect equilibrium!

Hi folks!

Fetch here.

I'm still on the citrus planet. My ship has been delayed due to some rather exciting but unfortunate circumstances; a volcano!

Yesterday there was a great rumbling as I was sitting down to my breakfast. Cups began to shake in their very saucers and the trees were tossed about so much that their leaves came tumbling down to the floor in a scary but picturesque mess. I was quivering in my dressing gown!

The other side of this small planet a large volcano was spewing space-dust into the atmosphere, and glistening particles could be seen trailing through the sky, forming into beautiful cirrostratus clouds in the upper atmosphere. A nightmare! I was informed that my ship was to be cancelled until the dust could settle, so I'm stuck here for now.

The new layer of shiny dust reflected the light from the closest star right back into space, so over the course of the day it began to get rather cold. Oh dear. I'm not such a cold-weather type of fellow. No matter, my hotel has some rather lovely onsen (hot baths). It's the spring here, and so the habit of taking onsen with yuzu is of course, a little out of season. The yuzu usually ripens fully over the early winter, and so right now they are a little hard to come by. No matter, they grow it in abundance on this planet and since its only a very small globe it was easy to ship some in from the other end, where it is mid-autumn and the first citrus are coming into fruition. (p.s. an interesting note, this particular planet's seasons are rather higgledy-piggledy, the year goes; winter spring autumn winter spring summer autumn! they have a kind of double summer, but the first is not so hot! Something to do with the wonky orbit). I spoke to the manager and she was very obliging, despite the hassle of ordering in all the fruit!

Anyway, we loaded up on freshly ripened yuzu and scattered them amongst the warm steamy waters. Everyone was very grateful for the hot, sweet smelling dip and the oils soaked right into our volcano-dusted furs.

Not to boast too much, but I believe I saved the day in this case!

Adios, amigos,

See you next time,

Hopefully on planet yuzu!

Hello and welcome aboard my blog.

This is your captain Fetch speaking.

As you might already know, I'm a yuzu enthusiast. On this page I'm hoping to spread my love of the great fruit and get to know a bit about its history. I'll be posting images, fun facts, stories, and recipes from my yuzu faring adventures.

I hope you enjoy all I have to offer, and that you check back whenever you're in need of some citrusy vibes. I'll be updating whenever the ship has signal!

This first image I snapped on a stop at the planet citrathon. Where growling indigo mountains rise above the famous acidic lake, which is said to have amazing skincare properties in small doses! (it IS acidic!) I'm stopping here for a little r&r before I shoot off to the next planet, which you can see in this pic, Can you guess its name?

Love and yuzu,

Captain Fetch x
